Portland State University Selects iContracts for Contract Management Software

Top University to deploy iContracts Universal Contract Manager

Raritan, NJ – November 12, 2013 – iContracts, a leading provider of solutions for managing corporate contracts, commitments, and compliance today announced that Portland State University (PSU), Oregon’s largest University, has selected iContracts “Universal Contract Manager” (UCM) to effectively manage contracts, improve visibility, control access and measure performance. PSU will utilize iContracts UCM to maintain a wide variety of contracts and agreements throughout the University.

Like many universities, Portland State University had been managing contracts through a combination of manual processes and a limited function in-house system. While contracts were housed in a centralized location, the in-house system did not provide the reporting, workflow, contract authoring, audit documentation or notification functions that the University’s Contracting and Procurement Services (CAPS) team needed.

“We were impressed with iContracts Universal Contract Manager (UCM) the first time we saw it. With each demo, we became more convinced that UCM would enable CAPS to improve its performance and effectiveness throughout Portland State University and would save the university time and money as well as providing better control of the contracting process,” said Karen Thomson, Assistant Director for the CAPS team. “UCM delivers a cost effective, secure and scalable platform for improving every facet of our contract management processes. We look forward to rapidly implementing the software and realizing substantial benefits.”

iContracts Universal Contract Manager is cloud-based, thus requiring no investment in facilities, hardware, software or related costs. All aspects of a contract’s lifecycle, including contract creation, monitoring of key milestones and compliance can be managed by iContracts UCM.

Leigh Powell, Chief Executive Officer of iContracts commented, “iContracts is pleased to welcome another leading university to our rapidly growing client list. Portland State University is nationally acclaimed as a leader in sustainability and community-based learning. We are proud of our new affiliation with a leader such as PSU and look forward to playing a small part in their continued success.”
